Topic : Maths in Practical Situation (Public Utilities Bill)
Learning Objectives : Students are able to understand and interpret Utilities bills. Students are able to make inference from the bar charts of the utility bill.

Sequence of activities:
1. Students will visit the PUB website and look for information regarding the calculation of PUB bill.
2. Students will study their own utility bill and comment on how the bill is being calculated (Skill used : Remembering and Applying)
3. Comment (in the Math blog) on how the government encourages water conservation.

4. Students complete an online survey using their PUB bill for a particular month.
5. Data is captured in Excel and students use the baseline ICT skill to chart data.
6. Next, students will interpret the charts/graphs and make conclusions.

2.         In 2007, the peak is during the month of June and July. The peak in 2007 is very prominent and significant.

3.         In general, the number of cases of dengue cases actually increases over the years.
